Landing School Held its Annual 5th Grade Math Bee

On May 31st, Landing School held its annual Math Bee. All fifth grade students first competed in classroom math bees, with fourteen earning their way to the schoolwide competition. 5th grade student, Chizimuzo, won the competition, making it through 14 rounds and a championship deciding round. The winner and runner up, Matias, will now compete against the winner and runner up from Connolly School on June 12th at our District Math Bee. Congratulations to our Landing Math Bee winner, Chizimuzo, and runner-up, Matias, and to Kimberly, Danny, Peyton, Declan, Roger, Kadence, Mia, Oliver, Angel, Adam, and Madeleine for competing. 

Thank you to Mr. Allison, Mrs. Liptzin, Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Simeone for the hard work organizing this event, in addition to Mrs. Pawlowski and Mrs. Vaughan for serving as our judges and facilitators. Finally, a big thank you to Mr. Barry and his student production team for live streaming this event for our school community.
