Homecoming 2024

Congratulations to Glen Cove’s Football team for their victory over Baldwin at the Homecoming game on Friday, September 20 with a final score of 40 - 20. This year’s game was special as it took place on our new athletic fields. The day began with our senior athletes visiting the  elementary schools, where the young students cheered them on with handmade signs and pompoms.

We kicked off the festivities with a lively pep rally on the field, where we announced the homecoming court and introduced our football players, alongside highlights from all fall sports. The cheerleaders, kickline, and drumline put on fantastic performances that got everyone pumped up, and our mascot truly energized the crowd! Thank you to GCTV for live-streaming the pep rally.

The afternoon featured the High School PTSA-sponsored carnival and our traditional parade, with participation from our elementary schools and PTAs. It was wonderful to see the entire community come together in support of our students.

During halftime, our marching band, kickline, and cheerleaders performed. The moment  everyone had been waiting for arrived: Elias Benitez was crowned Homecoming King, and Kailey Yanes Rosa was named Homecoming Queen.
