Glen Cove High School Students Shine as Visual Artists at 2023 Nassau County High School Student Juried Art Competition & Exhibition
The Art Guild of Port Washington is thrilled to announce that three talented students from Glen Cove High School have been chosen as visual artists for the prestigious 2023 Nassau County High School Student Juried Art Competition & Exhibition. This remarkable event will showcase their outstanding artwork to the public from November 5 to November 25.
The selected students, whose creativity and dedication have earned them this distinguished recognition, are as follows:
Phoebe George, featuring her artwork titled "Possessed!"
Phoebe Pinder, presenting her piece titled "The Transfer."
Natalia Monsale, with her creation, "Evening Pearl."
The Art Guild of Port Washington extends an open invitation to all Nassau County High School students, encouraging them to submit their exceptional 2D or 3D artworks for consideration in the 2023 competition. This honor is a testament to the hard work and unwavering dedication of these young artists in the field of Visual Arts.
Dr. Maria Rianna, Superintendent of Schools, expressed her pride in these talented students, stating, "We are so proud of these students, who poured their talent and dedication into such remarkable and profound artwork. Congratulations to Phoebe G., Phoebe P., and Natalia for earning such an esteemed honor, and congratulations to their teachers, LeeAnn Palazzo and Maria Verni, who always encourage their creativity and enthusiasm."
Fine and Performing Arts Coordinator Lawrence Nadel stated, "These students continue to go the extra mile in their artistic pursuits and studies as they engage in authentic arts experiences and opportunities. Special thanks to their arts teachers Ms. Palazzo and Ms. Verni who guided them throughout this process."
The Art Guild of Port Washington is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing encouragement, education, and a platform for the appreciation of the visual arts. It offers artists a space to interact and collaborate through various educational opportunities, workshops, lectures, discussions, and exhibits.
