Glen Cove CSD Welcomes New Glen Cove High School Assistant Principal, Ursula Moorer, Ed.D.

The Glen Cove City School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ursula Moorer as the new  Assistant Principal for Glen Cove High School. Dr. Moorer brings over 18 years experience in education and a deep commitment to student success. 

Dr. Moorer holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Broadcast Telecommunications and Mass Media from Temple University, a Master of Science in Early Elementary Education from Mercy College, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies and Professional Diploma in Educational Leadership from Long Island University. She also earned a Doctor of Education in Transformational Leadership from Long Island University and holds a certification as a district leader.

Since 2006, Dr. Moorer has been a dedicated educator in the Baldwin School District as a mathematics teacher and taking on various leadership roles, including High School Attendance Coordinator and Activities Coordinator. She has also been actively involved in Restorative Practices Planning and Implementation. Dr. Moorer serves as the Executive Director of the Biffco Foundation, a nonprofit community organization.

Originally from Uniondale, Dr. Moorer enjoys exercising, participating in community service projects, and spending time with her family.
