Glen Cove City School District Celebrates 41 Students Selected for Prestigious NMEA All County Music Festival at Tilles Center 2024
Glen Cove City School District proudly announces that 41 talented students have been selected for the Nassau Music Educators Association (NMEA) All County Music Festival held at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in January 2024. These students, recognized for outstanding performances in chorus, orchestra, band, and jazz were chosen based on stellar scores at the New York State School Music Association Solo Evaluation Festival.
"We are thrilled to see so many of our talented students recognized for their musical aptitude on such a prestigious platform," said Superintendent Dr. Maria L. Rianna. "This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, as well as the unwavering support they receive from our exceptional music educators."
Lawrence Nadel, Coordinator of Fine and Performing Arts applauded the dedication and talent of these young musicians, emphasizing the district’s commitment to fostering musical skills. The NMEA All County performance showcases the students’ exceptional abilities, highlighting the success of the district’s thriving arts program. “We are excited to offer authentic arts experiences for our Glen Cove students. Congratulations to all of our talented musicians, their teacher mentors and families who continue to support excellence in Music Education.”
