Glen Cove Celebrates Homecoming 2025

Congratulations to Glen Cove’s Football Team for their victory over Valley Stream Central at the Homecoming game on Friday, October 10, with a final score of 38–22!

The day began with our football players and cheerleaders visiting the elementary schools, where young students cheered them on with handmade signs and pom poms. Later, we held a spirited pep rally on the field, where we announced the Homecoming Court and introduced our football players, along with highlights from all fall sports. The cheerleaders, kickline, and drumline delivered fantastic performances that energized the crowd, and our mascot kept the excitement going! A big thank you to GCTV for live-streaming the pep rally.

The afternoon featured the High School PTSA-sponsored carnival and our traditional parade, showcasing students from all of our schools, PTAs, and the City of Glen Cove Cheer Program. We thank the Glen Cove Education Foundation and Angelina Stanco Stone for their generous donation in support of the PTSA carnival. We also extend our gratitude to the Glen Cove Board of Education and Administration for leading our parade and supporting our Homecoming celebration. It was wonderful to see the entire community come together in support of our students.

Throughout the game, the Glen Cove High School Band kept the energy high with their outstanding performances. A special thank-you to Brittney Frank Rifkind for leading and inspiring our talented student musicians.

During halftime, the marching band, kickline, and cheerleaders performed outstanding routines before we proudly announced our 2025 Homecoming Queen, Valentina Canales, and Homecoming King, Joseph Leftwich.
