GCHS Students Compete at NY DECA State Career Conference

Two Glen Cove High School students recently showcased their business skills on the state stage at the New York DECA State Career Conference, held March 4-6, 2026 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Representing Glen Cove High School, Giselle Graziosi (Entrepreneurship Series) and Kaspar Davlatshoev (Accounting Applications Series) competed against hundreds of top business students from across New York State.

Participants were challenged through high-pressure business simulations and rigorous written exams designed to test their skills in entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and management. While they did not advance to the final awards stage this year, both students demonstrated determination, professionalism, and a strong commitment to developing their business knowledge. Competing at the state level provided them with valuable real-world experience and insight that will help sharpen their competitive edge for future events. Glen Cove High School is proud of Giselle and Kaspar for representing the school with dedication and enthusiasm. Their experience at the state conference is an important step as they continue striving to qualify for the DECA International Career Development Conference in the years ahead.

Thank you Jonathan McKinnon for his leadership and guidance as the DECA Advisor and Taylor Sanchez for her support as a chaperone.
