R. M. Finley Middle School Student Accepted into Nassau-Suffolk Honor Band

The Glen Cove City School District is proud to announce that Hanna Miller, a seventh-grade student at Robert M. Finley Middle School, has been accepted into the prestigious Nassau-Suffolk Honor Band for the 2025–2026 season.
Hanna, a talented clarinetist, prepared a Level 3 NYSSMA solo for her audition and was selected last spring to join this elite ensemble, which brings together some of the finest 7th and 8th grade musicians from across Long Island. Through the program, students have the opportunity to strengthen their technical, musical, and ensemble skills while performing challenging concert band literature.
Hanna shared, “The concerts are a lot of fun to perform in.”
The district also extends its gratitude to Mr. Keith Schmidt for his ongoing dedication to inspiring and guiding Finley’s band students toward success.
