Finley Middle School hosted its fourth annual Spanish and Italian Spelling Bees, celebrating the linguistic talents of our dedicated students.
The Spanish Spelling Bee had 27 students competing, the event moved through three rounds of challenging vocabulary. Congratulations to our winner, Ariadna Agreda Alvarez. Thank you to our judges Ms. Prezeau and Ms. Tiburcio, and our announcer, Ms. Villacis.
The Italian Spelling Bee was exceptionally close, lasting for so many rounds that it ended in a tie between two winners, 7th grader Jack Smith and 8th grader Giacomo Talisaysay. A special thank you to Ms. Buccafusca for reading the words, and to Ms. Johnson and Ms. Leotta for judging the event.
Finally, thank you to World Language and ENL Coordinator Ms. Ghiraldi for her hard work in organizing these events. Congratulations to all our participants on their hard work and school spirit!
