FAME GC and Glen Cove Schools Present the Jean Bennardo Tree of Inspiration Ceremony

FAME GC and the Glen Cove School District are proud to invite the community to a special ceremony celebrating veteran educator Jean Bennardo as the 2025 Tree of Inspiration honoree.

We welcome everyone to join us for the formal unveiling of the new leaf bearing Mrs. Bennardo’s photo and quote, which will be added to the Tree of Inspiration in the lobby at Glen Cove High School on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at approximately 6:45 PM, just prior to the Board Meeting. This event, supported by the FAME GC Board of Directors, including President Beth Corets and Vice President Maria DeLuca, will formally recognize Mrs. Bennardo for her extraordinary dedication and profound impact on thousands of young students across the district.

Mrs. Bennardo has devoted more than 20 years to teaching elementary art, inspiring generations through her contributions to school initiatives like Earth Day, Red Ribbon Week, PARP, and the Red & Green Games. Her talent and dedication are further evidenced by the enduring murals she created at Morgan Park, Deasy, and Landing Schools, as well as her generous volunteer work with the Memory Project, bringing art to children around the world. Her creativity, dedication, and deep community spirit embody the very essence of this well-deserved honor.
