Congratulations, Glen Cove High School Class of 2025!
Congratulations to all the Glen Cove High School graduates and their families who attended the 2025 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, June 27. It was a memorable and inspiring event filled with speeches, music, and celebration.
The ceremony began with a performance of Pomp and Circumstance by the Glen Cove High School Band. Senior Class President Isabel Basil led the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a warm welcome from Assistant Principal Dr. Ursula Moorer. The National Anthem was performed by the Concert Choir, under the direction of Edward Norris, and senior Paloma Supica conducted the Glen Cove High School Alma Mater.
Thank you to Principal Allen Hudson III, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Maria L. Rianna, and Board of Education President Maria Elena Venuto for their thoughtful addresses.
Highlights of the ceremony included:
- Salutatory Address by Natalia Piasta
- Honorarian Address by Isabel Basil, who also served as Student Council President and Board of Education Student Representative
- Faculty Speaker Chris Barry
- Valedictory Address by Mert Suyabatmaz
The Concert Choir also performed a moving rendition of “In My Life.”
Principal Hudson proudly presented the Class of 2025, followed by Dr. Rianna’s official certification of the graduates. Dr. Moorer and Herenia Padilla called each senior to the stage during the Presentation of the Class, and Board President Maria Elena Venuto delivered the formal Declaration of Graduation.
Valedictorian Mert Suyabatmaz then led the traditional turning of the tassel, officially marking the graduation of the Class of 2025.
As graduates exited the field, the Glen Cove High School Orchestra, led by Kay Twak, performed the Recessional, Graduation Day.
A special thank you to GCTV for live streaming the event and archiving it on our website, so families and community members can revisit these meaningful moments.
Once again, congratulations to the Glen Cove High School Class of 2025! We can’t wait to see all that you will accomplish.
