Celebrating Red Ribbon Week Across All Our Schools
2024 Red Ribbon Week Theme: "Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free.
From October 23 to 31, our schools hosted a range of activities, including assemblies, art contests, and dress-up days, all aimed at fostering a safe, healthy, and drug-free environment for children, families, and communities.
This year’s theme, “Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free,” called us to unite against drugs and emphasized the positive impact that drug-free individuals had on their communities every day.
Thank you to our social workers Jillian Anderson and Madalyn Iadanza, Nurse Gulamerian, GCPD Detective Karousos, and the SAFE Glen Cove Board Members for sharing valuable health and safety insights with our students. As part of the celebration, students participated in an art contest featuring the logo, with SAFE Glen Cove members selecting the top three entries from each grade level. Congratulations to our talented students!
