Team USA and Pro League Players Host Lacrosse Clinic for Glen Cove Girls Lacrosse
On Wednesday, April 24th, the Glen Cove Girls Lacrosse program received a special visit from two distinguished guest instructors during their spring break practice session. Kylie Ohlmiller, a member of the US national team, four-time All American, and standout player in the professional league, led an instructional clinic/practice for players in grades 7 through 12. Ohlmiller currently stands as one of the greatest offensive talents in women's lacrosse, representing both the United States national team and various women's professional leagues. Alongside Ohlmiller, we had Ally Mastriani, currently one of the top center midfielders and draw takers on both the US national team and the Athletes Unlimited professional league. Mastriani currently holds several all-time offensive and center draw records at the University of North Carolina. During the clinic, Ohlmiller and Mastriani provided guidance on skills, strategies, shooting, draw controls, and drills to improve their game and enhance their chance of success. The players worked exceptionally hard, and Kylie and Ally were very impressed with the Glen Cove players' eagerness to learn, their skill level, and their effort. It was a great day of lacrosse, and the Glen Cove Varsity followed up the clinic with a convincing 15-6 win the next day over Plainview Old Bethpage. We would like to thank Kylie and Ally for the great day of lacrosse and wonderful instruction. We would also like to thank the Glen Cove High School Booster Club whose generosity helped make this clinic happen.
Thank you, everyone, for a great day that really benefited all these great kids!
