Nassau County USTA Awards Christopher MacDonald Coach of the Year

Christopher MacDonald has been awarded the coveted Nassau County Coach of the Year accolade by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). This prestigious award is a testament to the coach's dedication and expertise which have played a vital role in nurturing our tennis teams. 

 

During the ceremony, the USTA acknowledged our coach's outstanding achievements and contributions highlighting several key points:

 

The Varsity Girls and Boys Tennis Teams have consistently showcased their exceptional skills and sportsmanship, consistently competing at a very high level year after year.

 

Our coach has played a vital role in expanding the reach of tennis in the Glen Cove Community through the Net Generation program, fostering a love for the sport among local residents.

 

Through the years, including this one, our coach has provided a unique opportunity for 72 Glen Cove children to participate in an on-court experience at the prestigious US Open. This initiative has not only enriched the lives of our young athletes but also enhanced the community's connection to the sport of tennis.
