The Glen Cove City School District officially welcomed 23 new educators during its annual four-day New Teacher Orientation at the Robert M. Finley Middle School Library. Designed and led by Mr. Klatsky in order to set up incoming faculty for a successful school year, the comprehensive program focused on purpose-driven teaching, classroom routines, instructional strategy, and administrative meetings to help new educators prepare for the upcoming school year, along with a community bus tour.
Highlights from the orientation include:
Mission & Strategic Vision: District leadership shared inspiring opening remarks detailing the district’s core values, mission, and strategic goals for student success.
Community Bus Tour: New teachers boarded a district school bus for a guided tour through Glen Cove neighborhoods, offering valuable context about the community and the families they serve.
Building Alignment: Incoming staff met directly with their respective building principals to prepare for school-specific routines and expectations.
