Facilities

The Glen Cove City School District operates six school buildings and two administrative buildings spread across approximately 100 acres in the City of Glen Cove. The facilities are managed and maintained by the District’s Buildings & Grounds (B&G) Department.  

The District will update this page as new information becomes available about facility renovations and updates.

Capital Projects

Capital Projects involve large-scale renovations and upgrades that are significant in cost and scope. These projects are typically funded through bonds or other dedicated funding sources.

Maintenance Projects are smaller in scope and are performed by the District's Buildings and Grounds team as part of ongoing facility care.

Community Use of School Facilities

It shall be the policy of the Board to encourage the greatest possible use of school buildings for community-wide activities. This includes recognized civic, social, and fraternal and religious organizations, in accordance with state and federal laws. Groups requesting use of school facilities must:

• Obtain written permission from the Superintendent
• Follow all established rules and regulations, including restrictions on alcohol, tobacco and drug use.

The Superintendent, at his/her discretion, may consult with the Board of Education regarding facility use. Monthly reports may be made to the Board regarding community use of the school facilities.
