Facilities
The Glen Cove City School District operates six school buildings and two administrative buildings spread across approximately 100 acres in the City of Glen Cove. The facilities are managed and maintained by the District’s Buildings & Grounds (B&G) Department.
The District will update this page as new information becomes available about facility renovations and updates.

Capital Projects
Capital Projects involve large-scale renovations and upgrades that are significant in cost and scope. These projects are typically funded through bonds or other dedicated funding sources.

Landing Elementary Classroom Addition
Curtain wall completed. Switchgear installation completed and energized. All drywall completed and painted. Bathroom fixtures being installed. Flooring installation to commence March 24, 2025.

Deasy School Classroom Addition
The steel structure has been erected. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in has commenced, with concrete slab pouring scheduled. Masonry work is set to begin shortly.

Mechanical and plumbing work has commenced. Classroom casework is in production. Steel bracing installed for air
conditioning units.

Underground utilities have been relocated. Excavation has commenced. Footings and foundation construction to begin week of November 25th.

Installed solar arrays with a RM10 EVO footing style

Solar Installation at Glen Cove High School
Footings, panels, and ballast blocks have been installed on the lower gym roof.
These 150 panels will not be able to produce power until the inverter and AC-side equipment is installed and PSE&GLI gives their final approval.

Connolly School
Completed all of the hallways in the building replacing 1x4’ surface mount fluorescent fixtures with recessed 2x4 LED flat panels
Created a consistent lighting layout in the hallways with the new recessed panels
Replaced smoke alarms and integrated them into the new grid

Community Use of School Facilities
It shall be the policy of the Board to encourage the greatest possible use of school buildings for community-wide activities. This includes recognized civic, social, and fraternal and religious organizations, in accordance with state and federal laws. Groups requesting use of school facilities must:
- Obtain written permission from the Superintendent
- Follow all established rules and regulations, including restrictions on alcohol, tobacco and drug use.
The Superintendent, at his/her discretion, may consult with the Board of Education regarding facility use. Monthly reports may be made to the Board regarding community use of the school facilities.
