Qualification of Voters
To be eligible to vote, you must:

Be a United States citizen

Be 18 years of age or older

Be a district resident for at least 30 days prior to the vote date
Eligible voters include those who have voted in federal, state, county, or school district elections within the past four years, individuals registered with the Nassau County Board of Elections, and residents who registered during the school district’s registration period.
If you are not registered with either Nassau County Board of Elections or the Glen Cove City School District, but are otherwise a qualified voter, you must register with Ida Johnson no later than May 6, 2025, to vote in the May 20, 2025 school budget and trustee election.
May 6, 2025 is designated as Personal Registration Day. Registration will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Thayer House (154 Dosoris Lane on the Glen Cove High School campus). Be sure to bring proof of residency by providing a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or other type of government-issued documentation showing your name and address and a valid photo identification.
Registration is ongoing at the District Clerk’s office, located at Thayer house, 154 Dosoris Lane.

Thank you to all the Glen Cove residents who participated in the 2025-2026 Glen Cove City School District’s budget vote and trustee election. The school budget passed with 850 votes in favor and 389 opposed.
In addition to passing the budget, voters have elected Brett Miller and re-elected Lia Leone as members of the Board of Education.

Thank you to all the Glen Cove residents who participated in the 2024-2025 Glen Cove City School District’s budget vote and trustee election. All three propositions passed. Additionally, incumbent Board of Education members Maureen Jimenez, Meghan Lavine, and Anne Markoulis won re-election in an unopposed race.
Proposition Results:

- Proposition 2: Yes 711, No 332
- Proposition 3: Yes 714, No 313
In the Board of Education election, three candidates ran for three seats in an uncontested race. Sitting trustees Anne Markoulis, Maureen Jimenez, and Meghan Lavine were re-elected.

- If you’re not registered with either Nassau County Board of Elections or the Glen Cove City School District and are a qualified voter and want to be eligible to vote at our May 21, 2019 school budget and trustee election you must register with Ida Johnson no later than May 7, 2019.
May 7, 2019 has been dedicated as Personal Registration Day from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm at Thayer house at 154 Dosoris Lane on the Glen Cove high school campus. Be sure to bring proof of residency by a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck or other type of government documentation that shows your name and address as well as a valid picture id.
Registration is ongoing at the District Clerk’s office, located at Thayer house, 154 Dosoris Lane.
